Terms of Service

Last updated 29 September 2026

What you are buying, what we promise, and where the responsibility sits. Plain English, because a term nobody reads protects nobody.

What ClearMyRound is

A desktop application that listens to a conversation you are part of, transcribes it, and suggests what you could say. It runs on your computer. You control when it listens and when it does not.

Where you may use it

This is the term that matters most, and it is the one we cannot enforce for you. ClearMyRound is built for conversations where assistance is permitted: your own meetings, sales calls, mock interviews, practice, language work, study.

Check the rules where you are. If an employer, a university, an examiner or the other party on a call prohibits assistance, using ClearMyRound there breaks their rules, and that is on you rather than on us. We do not advise on whether any particular use is permitted, and buying a licence is not permission.

You also agree not to use it to:

  • Record or transcribe a conversation where the law requires consent you do not have.
  • Sit an examination or assessment that forbids outside assistance.
  • Impersonate someone else, or misrepresent who is answering.
  • Break any law that applies to you.

If an organisation asks us to block their hiring process or their domain, we will. Write to support@clearmyround.com.

Your licence

  • Buying gives you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the software for as long as your plan lasts.
  • Your plan belongs to your Google account. Anyone you let sign in to it shares the hours on it, and we treat use of your account as use by you.
  • You may install it on as many of your own computers as you like. There is no device limit on a paid plan.
  • You may not resell it, sublicense it, or take the software apart to build a competing product.
  • The free trial is one per computer. Working around that — by faking the machine identity, for example — ends the licence.

Hours, plans and renewals

  • Packs are bought once and never expire. Hours sit on the licence until you use them. Nothing renews and nothing is charged again.
  • Subscriptions renew until you cancel, at the price shown when you bought. Hours reset at the start of each period and do not carry over.
  • Listening time is measured while a session is running, including silence, from when you start until you stop. If the app closes without being able to tell us — a crash, a lost connection, a forced shutdown — the session in progress is counted in full, which is at most ten minutes.
  • Answers are not counted against your hours, and there is no limit on them while you are listening. They come from the conversation, so they need a session running: after a session of five minutes or more ends, you can still ask for one more — its notes, or a last question — within thirty minutes.
  • Subscriptions describe sessions as unlimited. That is subject to fair use — an amount far beyond ordinary use. We will contact you before doing anything about it, never cut you off mid-call.
  • We may change prices for future purchases and future renewal periods. An existing pack is never re-priced, and we tell subscribers before a renewal changes.

Payment

Payments made in India are processed by Razorpay. For these we are the seller: we issue the invoice and process refunds. Payments made anywhere else are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as our merchant of record — they sell to you, handle sales tax or VAT, issue the invoice and process refunds, and their terms apply to the transaction alongside these. Any tax that applies is shown at checkout before you pay.

Refunds

Set out in full on our refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

What we promise, and what we do not

We will make a reasonable effort to keep the service available and working. We cannot promise that it is uninterrupted, that transcription is accurate, or that an answer is correct, appropriate or suitable for your situation.

Answers are suggestions. The software can mishear a question and can be wrong about the answer. You decide what to say, and you are responsible for saying it. Read before you speak.

The software depends on third-party services for transcription and for generating answers. If one of them is down or changes, parts of ClearMyRound may stop working until we adapt.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a job you did not get, an opportunity you missed, or a consequence of relying on an answer. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected by any of this.

Ending it

  • You can stop using ClearMyRound at any time, and cancel a subscription whenever you like.
  • We may suspend or end a licence that breaks these terms — chargeback abuse, reselling, trial farming, or use we are legally required to stop. Where it is not urgent, we will tell you first.
  • If we end your licence without cause, we refund the unused portion.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, and for anything material we tell licence holders by email. Continuing to use ClearMyRound after a change means you accept it; if you do not, stop using it and ask us about a refund for anything unused.

Questions about any of this go to support@clearmyround.com. We answer within one working day.
